LA newcomer Artemis Orion has delivered her latest lo-fi piece of bedroom pop. ‘Midnight Thoughts’ feels simultaneously nostalgic and impressively modern; she seems to have a deep understanding of what modern listeners want to hear, and through a mixture of well-constructed melodies and detailed beats, she oozes both Billie Eilish and Kate Bush. She explains that the track “is about self-reflection, evaluation, and honesty. Often we can get stuck in our own heads and just think about a lot of our life’s journey in what we’ve learned, how it’s impacted us, and if we’re living to our full potential”.
